"I really enjoyed this bottle of wine. My professional foundation of wine being with Rhone varietals, I am always looking for great examples of these varietals coming out of California. I was pleasantly surprised to find out Alder Springs Vineyard is one of them. The Apex 39 is a great expression of the varietals, but more so the vineyard and climate seeing to carry the varietal character in such a lovely way. It has wonderful texture and length with beautiful freshness and polish. I ended up enjoying this alongside a Chicken Parsley Bolognese pasta. It was outstanding."
